VP Saxton
Hi there, happy reader. Welcome to my web page and thank you for your interest.
This web page will tell you a little more about me and the material I write, as well as providing you with the opportunity to preview and access current titles.
Now, in my latter years I am mostly writing for the satisfaction it gives me. It encourages me greatly to think that someone else would gain pleasure from actually reading it!
About me
I Turn My Experience
into a Story.
Born and educated in England, there remains a part of me that is undeniably British, despite happily residing in WA for many years. I have two wonderful children, who have in turn blessed me with four very special grandchildren. I share my life with a considerate, supportive and generous partner and a group of friends with whom I have travelled this scenic view called life. Together we have laughed and cried, shared and confided and harmoniously communed.
If you have read one of my books or you are considering it, thank you. Take some time out for yourself, enjoy your day, and make someone smile.
Happy reading!
MY WORK
My Best Seller
Adrift
Adrift… nothing stays the same forever…
Adrift tells the story of three families who have forged strong relationships over almost twenty years. Suddenly they find themselves contemplating the possibility of inevitable change.
These likeable and believable characters become embroiled in various life situations as they seek to find solutions to their problems and move forward with confidence.
Humorously and empathetically told, Adrift makes for entertaining, light-hearted reading.
Second Chances
Second Chances… our lives are shaped by the decisions we make…
Alan and Sylvia share a relationship of convenience. An unexpected loss forces Sylvia to re-think both her present and her future. Alan is left alone to brood over past regrets and foolish mistakes.
Alan’s brother, Ben, and his wife Suzanne find themselves struggling to communicate effectively as they attempt to raise their spoilt children and maintain a comfortable life-style.
Both brothers, along with their respective partners, hurtle headlong into chaotic circumstances and dubious decisions. Will any of them recognise an opportunity when it comes their way? Can they find the courage to risk taking a second chance?
Inevitably, paths cross and occasionally collide as this diverse group of characters negotiate the obstacles thrown their way.
Saxton’s second work of fiction blends a realistic group of characters with humor and sensitivity to create an enjoyable reading experience.
Rhyme Time
Rhyme Time is a collection of alphabetic name poems combining visual, audio and oral experiences resulting in a developmental resource for early childhood.
Children love repetition. Familiarity with the amusing rhymes and the rhythmic quality of the verses encourages full engagement and participation.
Each copy presents the opportunity to add your own child’s name into one of the poems, thus creating a unique mini volume. Further enhanced with enchanting, culturally sensitive and inclusive illustrations, Rhyme time makes a perfect family favourite or gift.
